Patra
Corporation is dedicated to providing
insurance back office services to the insurance industry.
Our mission is to leverage expertise and economies of
scale to reduce our customer’s operating costs
and risk exposure. Patra Corporation maintains a corporate
office and printing/mailing facility in San Carlos,
CA.
Patra India, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Patra Corporation,
is a 24-hour operations facility located in Visakhapatnam
(Vizag), India. Patra recruits, trains and employs highly
educated professionals, with bachelors and masters degrees.
Our Patra India professionals work in teams dedicated
to each customer, providing around-the-clock service.
Patra Corporation is managed by Dan Easterlin and John Simpson,
both of whom have decades of process re-engineering experience
utilizing software systems and outsourcing services. They have
built and integrated solutions in various industries including
insurance and financial services.
Before co-founding Patra Corporation,
Dan spent nearly 25 years developing, marketing, selling
and supporting enterprise and Internet software and
services for high tech companies and in corporate information
services (IS). He has held management positions ranging
from first line through senior vice president in companies
across the spectrum from startups to large established
corporations.
With high tech vendor and executive
experience at IBM, Ask Jeeves, Ceridian and Evolve,
Mr. Easterlin specializes in market research, product
management and sales force development. In IS management
roles at AAA and SSA Marine, Mr. Easterlin led requirements
definition, new systems planning, and business process
optimization projects in the insurance and containerized
shipping industries.
Dan Easterlin graduated from the
University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Mathematics
and a BA in Philosophy. He received an MS in Computer
Engineering from Syracuse University and an MS in Computer
Science from the University of California.
John Simpson brings over 20 years
of process and software design, as well as enterprise
application experience to Patra Corporation, having
designed, developed and launched several prominent services
throughout his career.
Most recently John was the co-founder
& CEO of CyberBills, an Internet Bill Payment and
Presentment company, which was named by Online Banking
Report (Feb 2004) as one of the top 25 web banking technology
innovations of all-time. In 2001, Metavante, a billion
dollar subsidiary of M&I Bank, purchased CyberBills
and today the CyberBills services are now an integral
part of the offerings by Wells Fargo and Chase banks
as well as over 500 other financial institutions.
Prior to CyberBills, John worked as
a Product Manager for Healtheon Corporation (now WebMD),
as a Regional Account Executive for Ceridian (Fortune
500 ERP Software), a Sr. Consultant for AON Consulting,
and a Software Manager for Kay Jewelers.
John has a BS in Business Administration
from the University of Richmond, VA.
