When Patra was founded in 2005, it was our vision to not only provide our customers with customizable insurance process solutions for their business, we wanted to be their trusted partner. 14 years later, I am proud to see that we’ve made this dream a reality. This has been made possible by using a complementary mix of leveraging the best technology on the market and having a committed team to back the project. These two factors have been the secret ingredients to building a successful company that has come to be recognized by prestigious industry publications.
Today, I am proud to be the President and CEO of a company that has been selected as one of the Top Insurance Workplaces of 2019 by Insurance Business America. This is a recognition that represents not only Patra’s growth but our ability to create a culture of integration that our employees’ value. It’s always been important for me to do the right thing by my employees, and this award is an affirmation that doing so creates a consistently positive culture.
What does it take to make it to the Top Insurance Workplaces list?
This award is so impactful to me because our employees were a fundamental part of the process, they were the judges. In order to make it to the list, our team members were tasked with evaluating the company based on the following metrics:
- Employee development
- Employee diversity
Companies need to score at least an 80% average satisfaction rating to make it to the list. Also, for organizations to be eligible, they must have a minimum of 20 employees. When the Patra journey started, the thought of leading a company with more than 6,000 employees worldwide, six global processing centers and distributed contact centers sounded intimidating, but today this is our reality. The best part is that thanks to our use of technology and a management team that makes constant communication a priority, we feel close, integrated and supported even when we’re miles apart.

Awards and recognitions like these are always an honor, but my biggest satisfaction is to be a part of a company where employees feel happy and appreciated.
